Life is normal in Springfield, Bart is causing pranks, Homer is relaxing on the couch, and Jimbo, Kearney and Dolph are bullying Milhouse. As for Professor Frink, things arent so normal as Balphazar reports that his Frinkian Unforseen Magnetic Phenomena Alarm machine is malfunctioning, all because of a Enchilada in the mircowave still foil wrapped. Everything then goes white.

However things arent so normal, reality is no longer how we know it. Bart and Milhouse have switched roles, Lisa is no longer related to Bart and the Principal of Springfield Elementary is Sideshow Bob. The only two people to remember the normal reality is Professor Frink and Balphazar.

Sideshow Bob calls Bart, Lisa and Milhouse to office to order Milhouse to serve Community Service at the Retirement Castle. Bart, is to photograph him for the school paper and Lisa is to write the article.

When Professor Frink discovers that the world has been altered, due to a Fleetwood Mac reunion he tries to revert things back to figure out how to return things to normal, but is arrested by Lenny and Carl who are now Police Officers under Snake.

Meanwhile, Bart, Lisa and Milhouse head off to the Retirement Castle where they discover that Cecil Terwilliger (now in place of Krusty) is giving a Cigarette Giveaway at the Kwik-E-Mart, they dash out of Mr. Burns's Car and make their way there. Mayor Marge is leaving the Police Station in a news report about her divorce from Artie Ziff, just as Bart, Lisa and Milhouse run by, Marge notices and runs after them.

In the Legitemate Business Man's Social Club, now run by Comic Book Guy in place of Fat Tony, Homer is feeling depressed after his divorce from Mindy Simmons. Given his hardship, Comic Book Guy gives Homer a boost, his job is to kill Milhouse.

Homer finds Milhouse, but he's still with Bart who is still Homer's son. Homer decides not to kill Milhouse, and instead heads into Moe's which happens to be the same (aside from having a glass eye), Homer and Marge meet up here, and after learning the real reason why Bart and Lisa would want to go to the Cigarette Giveaway, they go there together.

Professor Frink manages to break out of Prison and get to the Kwik-E-Mart where they have a generator. Sideshow Bob shows up after Milhouse because of another prank. Lisa distracts Bob by asking Cecil what he thinks of education.

Inside, Krusty is trying to heat an Enchilada in a microwave, but forgot to remove the foil. Which happens to restore Springfield back to normal. Well, almost, Frink now has two faces.
