SIMPSONS FANTASY VIII Written by Gary M. Gadsdon and Jacob ---------------------------------------------------------------- DARK GAIA DARK BART (18), DARK LISA (16) and DARK LUCY (9) are in Castle Pandemonium. DARK BART: Man, what's keeping Maggie? She was supposed to come back a week ago. DARK LISA: I dont know, you know what's she's like, she's always doing this. DARK LUCY: I do remember that she talked about finding her other half. DARK LISA: Other half? What does that mean? DARK LUCY: Maybe she knows something we didnt. Parallel universe maybe? DARK BART: I'd hate to think about that. There could be even be evil versions of us out there! DARK LISA: Lets just set out to find Maggie. DARK BART, DARK LISA and DARK LUCY head off to find DARK MAGGIE. SPRINGFIELD, 8 YEARS INTO THE FUTURE (2016) MAGGIE is now 25, well, if you include the years she spent in Gaia that is, she now lives with MARK in a decent sized apartment (think about the size of Monica's appartment in Friends, with a 4-year old daughter, EMILY [Tentaive Name]. They are about to move, most of their things are in boxes. EMILY is looking in MAGGIE's closet and finds a huge ass machine. EMILY: [Calling] Mom! MAGGIE: [Calling] What? EMILY: [Calling] Come here! MAGGIE comes into the room. MAGGIE: What is it? EMILY: I found this in the closet. MAGGIE: Wow. I forgot about that. MAGGIE activates it and then stands in the machine. EMILY: What are you doing? MAGGIE: I'm going to go see some old friends. I should be back soon. EMILY: How? MAGGIE: You'll see. But first... MAGGIE rummages through another closet to find The Maggie Blade 2. EMILY: What's that? MAGGIE: I'm going to need some protection where I'm going. MAGGIE steps back into the machine and then fiddles with some switches and levers and then in a bright light she disappears. EMILY: What the?! Where did she go? EMILY exits the room to find MARK packing. EMILY: Uh.. Dad? MARK: Yeah. EMILY: I found a weird machine in your bedroom closet. MARK: Does your mother know that you know about that? EMILY: Yeah. She went inside it and then disappeared in a bright light? What does that mean? MARK: Did she say anything before leaving? EMILY: Yeah. She said that she was going to see some old friends... MARK: Then there isnt really anything to worry about. She's just gone to visit Locke and Terra. EMILY: Who are Locke and Terra? MARK: They're old friends of your mothers. EMILY: How come I havent met them? MARK: Well.... they live in a different time period. EMILY: Huh? MARK: Your mother has to travel 3000 years into the future, where the world is a very different place. EMILY: But isnt time travel impossible? MARK: Nope. GAIA MAGGIE arrives into Gaia just outside Baron. MAGGIE: Well. Everything is looking good. MAGGIE heads into Baron and finds LOCKE's door. MAGGIE knocks on it, but it's LISA who answers. LISA: Maggie? MAGGIE: Lisa? What are you doing here? LISA: I could ask you the same thing. MAGGIE: I'm just here to visit Locke and Terra, and to get away from packing. You? LISA: Professor Frink called us and said that there was a disruption going on here, so we came to help. MAGGIE: "We?" LISA: Yeah. Bart and Lucy are here too. MAGGIE: They are?! MAGGIE enters the house. Surely enough, BART and LUCY are both there. MAGGIE: Hey guys. BART: Yo. LUCY: Hi Maggie. MAGGIE: So what's going on? BART: We dont know. We were just told to get here ASAP. MAGGIE: Why didnt you call me? LUCY: We figured you'd be busy packing. MAGGIE: I was, but this is time travel, we'd be back before I started! So where's Locke and Terra? LISA: Locke said he wanted to make some upgrades to the Sisterhood. MAGGIE: What kind of upgrades? LISA: I dunno. He never said. LOCKE and TERRA come into the main room. LOCKE: Here you go Lisa. LOCKE notices MAGGIE. LOCKE: Maggie?! MAGGIE: Long time, no see Locke. LOCKE: What are you doing here? MAGGIE: Just coming to say "hey" LOCKE: It's a good thing you're here. We could use your help. Lisa... LOCKE hands LISA the Sisterhood. LISA: So, what did you do to my sword? TERRA: We replaced the main blade with a new one thus making it 33% lighter as well as making it 25% sharper, so with it, you'll be able to deal more physical based damage, this time though you do more damage based on how much MP you have, and also it not longer has the Waterstrike ability so you dont have to worry about water elemental enemies absorbing your damage. LOCKE: You could really call it the Sisterhood 2. Heheh. MAGGIE: Speaking of upgrades, I think the Maggie Blade 2 could do with an upgrade too. TERRA: Oh yeah? What with? MAGGIE: Turn it into something I dub a Gunblade. LOCKE: How would that work? The projectiles would be sliced in half when the leave the barrel. MAGGIE: That's exactly the point. If they get cut in half then they'll split apart and hit the enemy in two different spots. TERRA: That does actually sound like a good idea. LOCKE: Alright, we can have it made for you Maggie, but can I go over why I asked you to come? MAGGIE: Sure. LIA and MAGGIE join BART and LUCY on the couches. LOCKE: This isnt as serious as the time when Dark Maggie tried to take over the Universe a while back, but we believe someone has usurped the throne at Figaro as Edgar as well as Sabin have gone missing. LUCY: So what we have to do is find out who took over? MAGGIE: Why couldnt you go? You normally handle Figaro matters yourself. TERRA: We have some things to handle here actually. LISA: How can we get to the Southern Continent? Are there any ships that go down there? TERRA: Talk to Cid in town. He'll let you ride on his airship. MAGGIE: Alright. We'll check it out. BART, LISA, MAGGIE and LUCY head into town. LISA: Where is Cid's house? He's always been in the castle when we've seen him. MAGGIE: If memory serves, it should be this way. MAGGIE guides BART, LISA and LUCY to CID's house. MAGGIE knocks. CID answers. CID: Who are you?! MAGGIE: Cid? It's me. Maggie. CID: Maggie? When did you get so old? MAGGIE: Right. You probably werent aware that we've not come a full 3000 years. CID: Huh? MAGGIE: You mean Locke never told you? CID: Told me what? The last thing Locke told me was that he was asking me to fly someone to Figaro. BART: That's us, man. MAGGIE: But can we come in. I'll explain everything. CID: Right. CID allows BART, LISA, MAGGIE and LUCY entry. CID: So, what's the story? MAGGIE: Well, it turns out that Gaia isnt "another world" like we thought way back when. Rather, Earth, but it's like 3000 years into the future for us. CID: But then, if this is the same planet as yours, how can time travel faster? LISA: Aparently, the sun, offically named, Sol, expanded in size faster than scientists expected, so the years are actually shorter. Mercury has already been drestroyed. CID: Mercury? LUCY: Mercury is one of the eight planets orbiting the sun. LISA: And even then, it was originally nine. In 2006, one of the planets, Pluto was reclassified as a Dwarf Planet. MAGGIE: We originally travelled from the year 2000 when I was only a baby, and Bart and Lisa were ten and eight. Of course, the seven years under Locke's care did screw my age up a little. CID: What year have you travelled from now? MAGGIE: 2017. So I'm now 25, if you include those seven years. CID: Right.. I think I understand now. MAGGIE: Good. By the way, this here is our little sister, Lucy. LUCY: Hi. CID: Hey. So, headed to Figaro? BART: Yeah man. CID: The castle area is currently out of bounds, they are shooting everything down that comes within range, so the closest I can get you to is South Figaro. You'll have to go through Mount Koltz. But knowing you, it wont be a problem at all. MAGGIE: Right. CID takes BART, LISA, MAGGIE and LUCY to his airship. The Airship is taken to South Figaro, MAGGIE notices that the town is quite different, but still properous. MAGGIE: Woah. How can South Figaro be so different after only a couple of months? LUCY: New doings from the userper? LISA: Possibly. But lets forget about it and go to the Figaro Castle. MAGGIE: Right. Lets head over Mount Koltz. BART, LISA, MAGGIE and LUCY head over Mount Koltz, and into the Figaro Castle Area. They enter the castle. The Guards are in the way. GUARD: Halt. Who goes there! MAGGIE: It's me. Maggie... GUARD: You have not been granted access to this castle. MAGGIE: You dont remember my name? GUARD: By orders of the king, this castle is off limits. MAGGIE: I refuse to believe that. King Edgar would not forbid me access here. He's not that kind of guy. GUARD: Well, he is forbidding you access. And anyone else for that matter. MAGGIE: Well. I have orders from Locke. I have to get in. GUARD: So you'd violate an order from the king? MAGGIE: Very much so. MAGGIE draws the Maggie Blade 2. BART, LISA and LUCY follow suit in drawing their weapons. --------------------------------------------------------------- BOSS: FIGARO GUARDS (Party: Bart, Lisa, Maggie, Lucy) --------------------------------------------------------------- THE SIMPSONS then barge their way through into the castle, where when they find the throne room they find a girl in EDGAR's throne. The GIRL is similar to LUCY, featuring neck length blue hair, a dark purple jacket and a black shirt, a green pearl necklace, a light blue skirt, and light blue knee high boots. She is DARK LUCY. DARK LUCY: Well. Well. MAGGIE: What the hell? LUCY: Who are you? DARK LUCY: I think you should know who I am. After all, I, am you. LUCY: What? LISA: You mean, we all have Dark Dopelgangers? DARK LUCY: Yes. I have a brother, Bart, and a sister, Lisa as well, but at the moment, Maggie has gone missing. MAGGIE: Yeah, right. I defeated her by my own hand. DARK LUCY: Indeed. But we have found a way to resurect her. MAGGIE: Oh really? How? DARK LUCY: Hahahaha. I'm not as stupid as Maggie is. I'm not exactly going to give that information to you outright. You will have to figure it out for yourself. I will give you a small clue though, is that you'll find out when you return home to Springfield. LUCY: What's that supposed to mean? DARK LUCY: Exactly that. You'll see when you return to Springfield. LUCY: Not if I beat it out of you. DARK LUCY: Oh? Think you can do such a thing? LUCY: Gladly. LUCY Bolts forward sword in hand to fight DARK LUCY. --------------------------------------------------------------- BOSS: DARK LUCY (Party: Lucy) --------------------------------------------------------------- DARK LUCY fades away. BART, LISA and MAGGIE walk up to LUCY who steps off the throne. BART: Well. Looks like Mission Accomplished. MAGGIE: I guess so. Shall we head back to Baron? LISA: Right. Though I do have a bad feeling about what she said. LUCY: Yeah. I'm a little worried too. Finding out how to resurect Dark Maggie? MAGGIE: It does give me a bad vibe too. Lets head home back to Springfield together, in my time machine. BART, LISA, MAGGIE and LUCY head back over Mount Koltz, through South Figaro and onto the airship. They fly back to Baron, to meet up with LOCKE and TERRA. MAGGIE: Well. Mission Accomplished guys. TERRA: You found what was going on in Figaro? LUCY: Indeed. It turned out Edgar wasnt there. LOCKE: Eh? Where was he? MAGGIE: We dont know. Dark Lucy was there though. TERRA: You what? Dark Lucy? LISA: The Dark Counterpart to Lucy similar with Dark Maggie. Turns out we all have Dark Dopelgangers. LOCKE: So what happened? BART: Lucy fought her alone and won. LUCY: Not before being told that *something* is going on in Springfield. TERRA: What's going on there? LUCY: We dont know. We're about to head home and find out. LOCKE: Before you go though Maggie, here, take this. LOCKE hands MAGGIE a sword, that has a gun at the hilt. Maggie's head is engraved into the blade as is the number 3. MAGGIE: This the Maggie Blade 3? LOCKE: Indeed it is. It doesnt actually fire any bullets though. MAGGIE: So what's the point in it being a gunblade? TERRA: The firing mechinism sends vibrations into the blade making it more powerful. MAGGIE: Cool. I can work with that. You guys can have the Maggie Blade 2 then. LOCKE: Okay. Thanks for taking up the mission. See you soon, right? MAGGIE: Right. MAGGIE leads BART, LISA and LUCY to her time machine hidden in town. They each get in, and MAGGIE activates the controls which takes them back to Springfield. SPRINGFIELD-A In Springfield, it isnt the same as when MAGGIE left, though they are in her appartment. It is now deserted and a mess as if there had been a fight while packing. MARK and EMILY are gone, and the lights are off, everything is covered in cobwebs. MAGGIE looks around in shock. MAGGIE: What the?! What's going on? LISA: Are you sure we're in the right time? MAGGIE: Of course, the time machine always brings you back to the original time. You can only set it when going forward. LUCY: Could this be the thing that Dark Lucy was talking about? LISA: Cetainly seems like it. BART: So what do we do? MAGGIE: I think we should try to find Mom and Dad. They should know what's going on. BART: What about Mark and Emily? MAGGIE: I'm concerned about them too, but Mom and Dad moreso. BART, LISA, MAGGIE and LUCY step out of MAGGIE'S appartment to find that Springfield is in a terrible state, all the trees and plant life is non-existant, cars are on fire everywhere, and nearly all buildings are now high-rise. BART, LISA, MAGGIE and LUCY make their way towards 742 Evergreen Terrace. When they get there, they find the house in ruins. MAGGIE: Uh-oh. I dont like the looks of this. As they explore the house, they find it in a state as bad as MAGGIE's appartment. KIDS: MOM?! DAD?! No answer. KIDS: MOM! DAD! WHERE ARE YOU! No answer. In the Living Room, LUCY finds a newspaper, dated 2016. LUCY: BART! LISA! MAGGIE! Come here! BART, LISA and MAGGIE come into the living room. BART: What is it? LUCY: Look at this. The headline reads, "EVIL TAKEOVER IN SPRINGFIELD. MASS ROBOTICISATION OCCURING" with the subheadline "YOUR GUIDE TO BEING A MINDLESS ROBOT" MAGGIE: What? I dont get it. Mass Roboticisation? What could that mean? Just then, two robots, come into the living room as well. One is shaped like MARGE, the other shaped like HOMER. BART: Hey! Those robots look like Mom and Dad! LUCY: Um. Bart, according to this article, the people who took over this town turned the citizens into robots. BART: So what are you getting at? LUCY: I think that's ACTUALLY Mom and Dad! BART, LISA and MAGGIE: WHAT?! ROBOT HOMER and ROBOT MARGE: All Humans must report for Roboticisation. ROBOT HOMER and ROBOT MARGE try to grab the kids, but they all dodge their moves. MAGGIE: Mom! Dad! It's us! Dont you recognise us? ROBOT HOMER and ROBOT MARGE: All Humans must report for Roboticisation. MAGGIE: I'll take that as a no. LUCY: What are we going to do? MAGGIE: Normally, I'd just fight. LUCY: We cant do that. They may be mindless robots, but they are still our parents! MAGGIE: I know damn it! I need to think! LISA: What about Professor Frink? If we went to his house, maybe we could find something? MAGGIE: Good idea Lisa. But how do we contain these two? BART: Why not try some magic? LUCY: Good idea Bart. Let me try some. MAGGIE: Huh? When did you learn to use magic? LUCY: Locke gave me a white magic materia before you arrived. HOLD! LUCY casts HOLD on ROBOT HOMER and ROBOT MARGE and they are stopped in their tracks. The kids then flee. They sneak into what remains of PROFESSOR FRINK's house and look around. MAGGIE: Stay on your guard. There could be anything around here. Eventually. LISA finds a hand written note on one of the desks. LISA: Hey guys, check this out. MAGGIE: What is it Lisa? LISA: It seems to be a message from Professor Frink. I think he knows that it'd be us reading it as it says "Simpsons, Dark Maggie has disrupted the space-time continuum to turn the entire town into robots, including myself. You must use the De-Robotiser found with this note to restore mankind in Springfield. Then stop Dark Maggie from disrupting the space-time continuum itself." LUCY: So this is what Dark Lucy was talking about? MAGGIE: It would appear so. BART: How are we going to find out when Dark Maggie altered the time space continuum. MAGGIE: I say we take Dark Maggie head on and beat the information out of her. LUCY: That'll mean fighting her twice. MAGGIE: Oh who cares. We've done it enough times already. LUCY: Good point. LISA: What do we do now? MAGGIE: We have to find Dark Maggie. LISA: But we dont know where that is! MAGGIE: Then there's only one thing we can do. Go out and look for information. BART: I agree. LUCY: It's too dangerous to split up this time. Lets stick together. MAGGIE: Alright. Lets get going. Stay on guard guys. BART, LISA, MAGGIE and LUCY leave the house and head out into Springfield-A. In the town center, they find the statue of JEBEDIAH SPRINGFIELD on the ground with the head missing, with a statue of DARK BART, DARK LISA, DARK MAGGIE and DARK LUCY in it's place. BART: Woah. Look at that. LISA: Is that us? MAGGIE: The dark us anyhow. Come on lets keep looking. Just then a SHADOWY FIGURE starts moving around them. LUCY: ! What's that sound? MAGGIE: What are you talking about? I didn't hear anything. LUCY: I could've sworn I heard something from that direction. LISA: Are you sure? Sure enough, LUCY was right as two robots come from the direction LUCY was pointing in. They are ROBOTIC versions of EDGAR and SABIN. LISA: EDGAR?! MAGGIE: SABIN!? EDGAR: All Humans report for Robotication. MAGGIE: She got you too huh? MAGGIE draws the Maggie Blade 3. LISA: Maggie what are you doing?! MAGGIE: Preparing to fight. LUCY: Why? Why dont we just deroboticise them? MAGGIE: I know. But it will be far easier to accomplish if we weaken them first. BART: Ehp. No arguments with that. BART draws out his crossbow. LISA: Sigh. Alright. LISA draws out the Sisterhood 2.
